News this week that may affect your practice:

- The California Nurses Association and the National Nurses Organization Committee held their biennial convention on the 8th, to be followed today by a gathering at Sen. Diane Feinstein's home to encourage her to support the Employee Free Choice Act.

- The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and Lexington Insurance Co. have created an insurance plan for home birth coverage in all 50 states. All CNMs insured by Lexington will need to re-apply to be eligible for the new plan. Congratulations to the CNMs on this historic step forward!
