Hello there, hope this is a convenient time for you to stop and sit for a few minutes for a chat. Its summer here in a big way – lots of sun, lots of humid showers and lots of weeds!! I don’t garden much anymore, my husband loves to potter so I leave that territory up to him. But sometimes I swear I can hear those weeds pushing themselves through the top layer of soil and singing at the top of their voices – I made it, I made it!!
A busy week here. We had our Christmas gathering at Sunshine Linus and it was a great day. The gorgeous home bake that comes on these days is simply fabulous and some of the goodies are soooooo delicious and naughty. Sometimes I think I should forget about putting it in my mouth, and just slap this yummy food onto my hips. After all, this is where it’s all going to end up! LOL
We have a six week sojourn before the first gathering of 2013, and it will give me time to get through my stash and have another clean out. I try to do this every 12 months or so. You know the fabric you think you’re going to use but never get around to it. We couldn’t possibly make the amount of quilts for the community that we do without quilters such as myself having a clean out now and then and donating it to groups such as Sunshine Linus. Perhaps you can do the same at your place? There’s bound to be a quilting group near you that could use your unwanted fabrics.
Last week I posted another article about the postcard swap that I belong to. It’s a great group of gals and I receive the most wonderful creations once a month in my letterbox. If you’d like to participate, contact Ailsa Koloi in Bundaberg Queensland. Here’s her email: akoloi@bigpond.net.au
Here’s the link to the article and photos of my recent postcards that I’ve made and sent on: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art178869.asp
Thanks to the girls who pop on the forum from time to time and add their bit. It’s always lovely to have your contributions. Please feel free to use the forum whenever you have something to say. Here’s the link: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/forums/43/1/Quilting
