April 25 2012 Quilting Newsletter

Hi everyone, how are you going this week? We have a short week here, as we celebrate Anzac Day today. This is a national public holiday that is celebrated on the very day, so being a Wednesday, it’s nice to have a mid-week break.

I’ve made the most of the day off, and have been busy cutting and sewing the insert blocks for my hexagon quilt. It’s coming along nicely, but I have 60 blocks to make, so I’m aiming to get 2 blocks done each day. I think it’s possible, energy levels permitting. Haven’t been very well this week, busy fighting off another chest infection.

This may sound strange, but my chest is my Achilles Heel! If I’m a little run down, it’s the chest that packs it in! Never mind, I’m fortunate that I can get medicine to help and rest is the best thing. Ha! Who knows a quilter who will rest when there’s quiltin’ to be done?

The Postcard swap that I’m a member of is zooming along and I recently made a few cards ready for swapping. I wrote about it in my latest article and here’s the link if you’re interested. I’ve included some photos and instructions here. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art176205.asp

The forum is bubbling along, and don’t forget you’re welcome to become a forum member and contribute to this forum. Here’s the link for you: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/forums/43/1/Quilting

Well, I’ve been having a ball on the web lately (resting DR!!), and I’ve got some goodies that should tickle the odd funny bone. Have fun!

Till then, take care
Cheerio for now
