July 28 2011 Animal Life Newsletter

Greetings Animal Enthusiast!

Welcome diligent subscribers and new members who have recently joined us. I hope you find this week's article insightful and informative. Feel free to forward our newsletter along to other animal lovers. May each day bring you a nugget of new knowledge!

Fresh Paws Off The Press!

The Dirty Secret Behind Rhino Horn Consumption
It is time to dispel the myths of rhinoceros horn being an effective aphrodisiac and the purported fountain of youth. Let us shed light on how our ignorance is killing off an endangered species. Photobucket

The Animal Roar!

No Point to Shark Fin Soup
Shark fin soup is an unnecessary food source when all the components found in a shark's fin are also found within herbal and vitamin supplements that are readily available, far less costly on our purse strings, and more responsible to our ecosystem.

Florida Residents Plead for Panthers
Florida residents are dismayed as they face the extinction of the beloved state animal, the Florida Panther, for the sake of building a "Green" power plant when there are numerous other alternatives available that would not affect the last of these wild cats.

Know What's in Your Meat Before You Eat
An Australian journalist breaks the silence about a toxic compound being used to "glue" various pieces of meat together for the sake of profit. In researching this meat handling methodology, I discovered this is also a standard practice in the United States. So in addition to meat and milk supplies being injected with the synthetic chemical Posilac, and soaking meat in carbon monoxide gas, we get to add Transglutaminase and Thrombin to our diet. Which begs the question where's the meat? Stay an informed consumer. Start requiring your government to tell you what is being done to the meat you eat.

Feather Weave for Hair is Fowl
Hair fashion is fun and brings out the giddy inside most girls. However, it is hard to laugh and feel pretty when we know that we have death hanging in our strands.

Honeybees Reject Pollen
Honeybees are rejecting stockpiles of what appears to be viable pollen. Upon closer examination, it may be the use of too many chemicals causing their reaction.

United States Sued for Protecting Polar Bears
The United States federal government attempts to make strides in securing a habitat for the continued well-being and survival of the Alaskan polar bear population; facing off with big oil industry and the state of Alaska to meet their goal.
