Welcome to the January 20th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
Here are the headlines to come out of the anime industry since last week's newsletter:
*Japanese voice actor Isamu Tanonaka passed away from a heart attack on January 13, 2010 at the age of 77. He provided voices in such series as Gege no Kitaro, Mazinger Z, Cutey Honey, Magical Princess Minky Momo, Dominion Tank Police, Getter Robo, Digimon Adventure, Ranma 1/2, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and One Piece.
*Japanese voice actor Daisuke Gouri passed away on January 17, 2010 at the age of 57. His career spanned the 1970's through the 2000's. Gouri is best-known for providing voices in all three series in the Dragon Ball franchise. Other series he provided voices for include Doraemon, Gatchaman, Fist of the North Star, Urusei Yatsura, Cowboy Bebop, Crayon Shin-Chan, One Piece, Slayers, Trigun, The Vision of Escaflowne, Bleach, Blue Dragon, Final Fantasy Unlimited, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Ouran High School Host Club, Yakitate!! Japan, and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

The Pokemon Pocket Guides have been added to the Pokemon section of the Anime Shop, and they are also Editor's Recommendations on the main page of the Anime site.
