Here are the headlines to come out of the anime industry since last week's newsletter:
*Jean Simmons, who provided the voice of the older Sophie in the U.S. dub version of Howl's Moving Castle, passed away on Friday, January 22, at the age of 80. She had been suffering from lung cancer. Simmons was an award-winning actress, who had many iconic film roles. She also had a small role in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

This week, I posted three new articles to the Anime site. They are overview articles for Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Gakuen Alice, and Kodocha. I have added some words from all three of these series to the list for the word games at the Anime site. I am also featuring two of the ebooks I have written (Anime Basics and Anime Reviews Volume 2) as Editor's Recommendations on the main page of the Anime site.
