Welcome to the December 23rd edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
Here are the headlines to come out of the anime industry since last week's newsletter:
*It has been announced that Studio Ghibli's next project is an anime film based on Mary Norton's 1952 novel, The Borrowers. This film, which is titled Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Borrower Arrietty) is the directorial debut for 36-year-old animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi. The film will open in Japanese theaters in the summer of 2010.
*Production on a fourth Bleach film has been green-lit, and it is expected to open in Japanese theaters in the winter of 2010.
*A fourth Naruto Shippuden film has been confirmed, and is scheduled for release in Japanese theaters in the summer of 2010.
