Welcome to the February 24th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
Here are the headlines to come out of the anime industry since last week's newsletter:
*Media Blasters has announced that the company has acquired the license for the Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei anime series. The first English subtitled DVD volume is scheduled to ship on May 25, 2010. Media Blasters also announced that the company has acquired the rights for the Record of Lodoss War OVA and television
series; no further release information is known at this time.
*To coincide with the upcoming DVD release of Ponyo, Disney will be reissuing three Studio Ghibli films as 2-disc DVD sets on March 2, 2010: Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, and My Neighbor Totoro. Each film will have new cover art.
