Welcome to the June 3rd edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
A big uproar happened in anime over the weekend. On Saturday, May 30, FUNimation had planned to stream a subtitled version of a One Piece episode an hour after its airing in Japan. However, someone managed to find the file on the server, save it, and redistribute the file over the internet. Due to this, FUNimation canceled rhe stream of the episode; it is not known at this time when, or if, FUNimation will stream this episode, or any future new episodes, of One Piece. If you have any thoughts on this, please feel free to share them in the anime forum (a link to the forum is included later in the newsletter).
This week, I posted three new articles on the website. They are: an overview article for Yakitate!! Japan, a review of Negima! The Complete Collection, and a review of the Rune Soldier DVD box set. Links to all three articles are included later in the newsletter.
Both the Negima! and Rune Soldier DVDs have been added to the Anime Shop, and the Negima! set is an Editor's Pick on the main page of the anime site. I have also added words related to Yakitate!! Japan to the list for the anime word games.
