July 15 2009 Anime Newsletter

Welcome to the July 15th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!

Word came out this week that anime director Takuji Endo passed away on Wednesday, July 8, due to a sudden illness. He had been in Korea at the time, where he had been directing Stitch! (an anime spinoff series of the Walt Disney movie, Lilo and Stitch). I have posted a biography of Takuji Endo to the Anime site, and a link to the biography is included later in the newsletter.

This week, I also posted two new articles: an overview article for Kannazuki no Miko and a review of a book called Anime Interviews: The First Five Years of Animerica, Anime & Manga Monthly (1992-1997). The article for Kannazuki no Miko can be found in the "Current Anime" section of the site, while the review of Anime Interviews can be found in the "Anime Book Reviews" section of the site. Links to both articles are also included later in the newsletter. I also added words related to Kannazuki no Miko to the list for BellaOnline's Anime word games.

Thank you for your support of the BellaOnline Anime site, newsletter, and forum. Watch your inbox next Wednesday for the July 22 edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter.
