Welcome to the July 28th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!

Here are the headlines to come out of the anime industry since the last newsletter:

*Bandai Entertainment announced at San Diego Comic-Con International that the company has acquired the licenses for the Tales of the Abyss and Turn A Gundam television anime series. Tales of the Abyss is a 26-episode anime adaptation of a role-playing game. Turn A Gundam is an anime series produced in 1999 for Gundam's 20th anniversary.

*Section 23 has announced the company will release the CANAAN anime series from licensor Sentai Filmworks. The series will be released in one complete collection on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 26, 2010. The company will also release the first Kimikiss pure rouge DVD collection on October 5, the second Tytania DVD collection on October 12, and the complete Tears to Tiara collection on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 19.

*Crunchyroll has announced that the site will be simulcasting the Mitsudomore television anime series. The series is an adaptation of Norio Sakurai's gag manga, which centers around the misadventures of the sixth-grade Marui triplets. Crunchyroll's stream will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and Portugal. The first four episodes of Mitsudomore were available to Premium Membership subscribers at 11:30 a.m. PDT on Friday, July 23. The episodes will then be available for free a week later.

*Crunchyroll has announced that the company has added the first 109 episodes of the Bleach anime series to the site for its Premium Members. Release dates for the remaining catch up episodes to the current simulcast will be announced at a later date. The most recent episodes of Bleach are simulcast on the site every Tuesday at 2:30 a.m. PT. The Bleach simulcast is available to viewers in North America, the Caribbean, Central and South America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

*Studio Ghibli's Tales From Earthsea will be screened at the New York International Children's Film Festival on August 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the IFC Center Theater in New York City. The first families in line will receive Miyazaki DVDs and Earthsea posters. Tickets can be purchased at NYICFF's website.
