Welcome to the September 16th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
Here's a couple of anime headlines of the past week:
*The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Naruto Shippuden will begin airing on Disney XD in October 2009. Viz Media, who holds the U.S. rights to the series, has confirmed the report. Naruto Shippuden has been streaming online on several websites since January.
*Ponyo grossed an estimated $656,000 at the U.S. box office during the September 11-13 weekend. The film falls from #16 to #21 in its fifth weekend, and ticket sales dropped 49.9% from last week. With a current estimated total gross of $14,362,000, Ponyo is still the fifth highest grossing theatrical anime release in the United States.

I also wanted to share that this Saturday (September 19) will make two years since I posted my first three articles to BellaOnline's Anime site. Those first three articles were: an article talking about live-action films based on classic anime, an overview article for Robotech, and an article about subscribing to the Anime newsletter.
This week, however, I have posted two new articles to BellaOnline's Anime site: an overview article for Heroic Age and a review of the Inuyasha Seventh Season Box Set. There are links to both articles later in the newsletter. I also added words related to Heroic Age to the list for the Anime site's word games.
Since the last newsletter, I also added two new items to the Anime Shop: Steamboy can be found in the main Anime Shop, while the Inuyasha Second Season Box Set can be found in the Rumiko Takahashi Anime section of the Anime Shop. The Inuyasha Second Season Box Set is also an Editor's Recommendation on the main Anime site.
