It almost seems laughable, the idea of more works by Edvard Munch stolen.
Over a year ago the paintings: "Madonna" (1893-94) and "The Scream" (1893) were stolen from Oslo's Munch Museum.
Recently, from the Hotel Continental in Oslo, Norway, 2 thieves stole 3 of 13 lithographs and escaped. They were: "Self Portrait" (1895), "Melancholy" (1896) and "Vampire" (1895-1902).
But were they original lithographs or reproductions?
This time they were fakes. The thieves were cleverly conned.
It would appear that crime didn't pay in this case.
