May 7 2005 Art Appreciation Newsletter

It has been citied that one-fifth of the 6 million+ annual visitors to the Louvre in Paris are American. Because of the high priced Euro and Americans fear of flying, the Louvre is coming to the U.S. Is this possible? If you're not about to visit Paris and the Louvre anytime soon, there is a way to view their world class art. A non-profit organization, "The Friends of the Louvre," headed by publisher, Christopher "Kip" Forbes, will bring original art by Raphael, Rembrandt, Velazques and Rubens, to museums across America starting in 2006. The High Museum in Atlanta will have the most extensive exhibitions and educational programs. Other stops will be the Denver Art Museum and Milwaukee Art Museum.
