October 25 2013 Baha'i Newsletter

Sorry to be so late with this newsletter. Saturday night the BellaOnline forum server was hacked and it took a day or so to get back. Unfortunately, the site email and newsletter functions did not come back until today, so there has not only been no newsletter, but also no way for you to contact me. If you sent email between 10/20-25/13, I will not have received it.

Here's what the newsletter was supposed to say last Sunday: :)

Oh, I'm so enthused today! I just finished reading the neatest book and can't wait to tell everyone else to go find a copy and read it, too. I have been a writer for a long time, and began by doing mostly fiction. Then life and family happened and I put away the novels and short stories in order to pay more attention to other things. Always intended to take up fiction when I retired--and had time.

I know: reality and I do sometimes miss one another, LOL. I think there are even fewer hours in the day than when I had 5 kids and a business! However, the dream is still there, and when I run across exactly the sort of reading experience I want to write, then I am just thrilled. And even more excited for the author, as this is his first novel for young people! Hey, if he can do it, maybe I can, too...

The latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com is, therefore, an enthusiastic review.

Wave Watcher - Book Review
Review of Craig Alan Johnson's young people's novel, "Wave Watcher." Good story telling, with gems of understanding that work for any age.

Also, Sunday (Oct. 20) was a holy day, and I made up this newsletter just after I got back from a brunch celebration. Perfect weather, lots of food and good people and conversation. The children provided the short program with songs and memorized prayers. Very nice! To read a bit about the day:

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback
