The latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com results from watching a baptism ceremony for a middle-aged friend last weekend. It has been years since I was in a church during services, but I thought her explanation of what she was doing and feeling was actually a better sermon than her pastor had given!
She was so happy to be washed of her sins that I had to wonder what exactly that ritual meant. My understanding of sin being mostly what I remember from childhood: very concrete and physical, like sneaking a fingerful of icing off the cake before my cousin's birthday party and getting caught in the lie afterward! Turns out that sin is rather more spiritual concept than that, LOL.
What is considered a sin in the Bahá'í Faith?
