It is Spring in the northern hemisphere. Flowers are blooming, snow is melting (although here in the USA we have had an unusually warm winter) and Nature is fertile with promise. In milder climates, such as where I am now, that promise may be a bit more subtle than farther away from the equator, but it is there just the same. I love it!

There is just no way I can look out at how beautiful the natural world is and not feel loved by God. Unfortunately, I am often confounded by what my fellow humans have done to that beauty in the name of profits and the assorted 'isms' that religion has tried to train us out of for generations. Violence against others: the uncaring, the ignorant, or the bigots is not the answer, however.

In the latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com is some guidance on how best to clean up the planet, and change the hearts of people everywhere:

Love One Another
This age old divine command is reiterated in the Bahá'í Faith, as it is the only way to a peaceful world. But how does one go about achieving that goal when surrounded by other members of the human race?

Also, this weekend is Mother's Day here in the USA. Mothers, if we are lucky, are the first to show us what love is. They are the first and primary trainers and mentors who shape the following generation. Here is a link to an earlier article on the importance of the station of motherhood to Bahá'ís:
