My Latest article on Bible Basics

How are Protestant and Catholic Bibles Different?

Genesis to Revelation. The Protestant Bible and the Catholic Bible begin and end the same way. But in between there are significant differences. Describing the variances for you, however, turned out to be not nearly as simple as I thought it would be!

From my heart to yours

Reality is always a good deal more complex than it appears on the surface. A single cell from any animal is a universe unto itself. A loaf of bread involves utility companies, wheat fields, farm machinery and the highway infrastructure of our country, among many other factors. So why I thought it might be simple to write about the Apocrypha, I don’t know. That subject is much more complicated than will fit into one article. But reality is also a great faith-builder, because the more complex things are, the further I am from believing any of it “just happened.” Give God the glory, from sub-atomic particles to the preservation of His written message to us, to the mysteries of far flung galaxies.

Serving our sweet Savior,

Read my new blog, Katalambano!. (Katalambano is a Greek word meaning “to lay hold of so as to make one’s own, to take into one’s self, to lay hold of with the mind, to understand, perceive, learn, comprehend.”) Not too much on there yet, but I’m working on it.
