Hot news from the box:

Since the first show on New Years Day 1964,  Top of the Pops has been shaping the nation's taste in tunes. Now, the BBC has decide TOTP has boogied on down one last time. Even after a big relaunch to BBC2, with a new Sunday timeslot, ratings dipped out of site, to a low of 1 million. Hard times, when you consider at its height the show could attract 19 million. Farewell to a much loved institution- we loved our Thursday night chart countdowns.

Walford's Dirty Den, actor Leslie Grantham, is set to release his autobiography later in the year. You'll be able to read all the dirt on Grantham's private life- including his time in jail for manslaughter. 'Leslie Grantham: Life and Other Times' will hit the shelves in October.

Victoria Wood fans will be delighted to hear that the first lady of hilarity will return in a new wartime drama on ITV called Housewife, 49  based on the diary of a real Lancashire housewife.

Craig Charles (Cabbie Lloyd )  has been suspended from Corrie after  pictures were released to a newspaper of his crack cocaine binge on the four hour trip from London to Manchester. The revelations look likely to spell an end to Charles's TV career.

Is Blackadder set to 'go forth' once more- on the big screen ? Apparently, writer Ben Elton may be considering penning a movie set during the Russian Revolution.  Rumours have been flying for months that the snide time traveller would even return for a fifth TV  series. Star Rowan Atkinson has expressed great interest in reviving the show, last seen 17 years ago.

That's all for this week,

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!

Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
