Telly Talk:

Helen Mirren admitted to Parkinson that playing Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect is like “ putting on some old coat you're so familiar with..” We can only hope she'll try on the coat again soon, and bring back one of the greatest TV detectives !

Sally Lindsay (Shelley Unwin) departs the Street in dramatic style this week, and the actress vows she will not return in the Spring.

Can you believe the staff of Holby General have been fixing casualties for 20 years ? Casualty, the UK's longest running medical drama hits a big milestone this year.

Bad idea of the week: Fox network in the States has a plan to remake The Vicar of Dibley. The Minister of Divine, as the pilot will be known, will involve the original show's co-creator, Richard Curtis, in some capacity. Hmmm. The other bad idea involves a US remake of Little Britain...

That's all for this week.

See you soon.
