January 6 2011 Christian Literature Newsletter

Dear Reader,
We are already close to one week into 2011. With so many projects on the horizon, the next few months are destined to fly by; however, I was thinking of offering a book club here at BellaOnline.
A new release by Debbie Macomber found its way to me in November (shortly before the release date). I was familiar with Debbie's work because of the Navy series (romance) and the Blossm Street series (knitting and warm, fuzzy women's fiction). Expecting the book to be similar to Mitch Absolom’s, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it! This just might be the book for book club. What do you think? Are you interested? The summary is below……
God's Guest List
Think of the top people in your field. You don't know them, but you aspire to
meet and be as successful or, in some way, similar to them. What if the
crossing guard down the street could positively influence your life?
Would you be receptive or too blind to see God's diamond in the rough?

I loved the book. It made me think about people I may have been too busy to recognize in my life. More importantly, it challenged me and had me questioning whose lives I imparted a blessing too and in whose lives I might have been the cantankerous person whose abrasiveness taught a lesson.

Please drop by the forum…………..

Would you be interested in a book club? Do you need prayer requests? Is there something you’d like to express about upcoming books?

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message.

Blessings!
