Hi everyone! It's springtime and April showers are here!
If you haven't already, get those starter plants going by
getting a few packets of seeds, some small plastic or
peat starter containers and potting soil. They only take about
a week and a half to see new growth. It's not
This recipe is a springtime favorite and
easy to make. Especially if you have other
things to do around the house, as you throw
everything in a pot all at once! Enjoy :)
"Spring Time Chicken Noodle Soup"
1 whole boilers chicken
8 cups water
8 chicken boulion cubes
2 beef boulion cubes
4 medium onions quartered
4 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
2 sticks celery chopped
2 carrots finely chopped
1/4 cup white wine
1/8 cup soy
hot sauce, salt & pepper to taste
First, remove skin from chicken. Simmer all of the above
for 2 hours. Remove chicken from pot onto plate. Drain broth if
desired. Add 4 - 6 more cups of water (more
if needed and let boil while removing bones from chicken.
Add chicken pieces back to pot, noodles (cooked), frozen
peas and salt/pepper to taste. Throw in a handful of
parsely or Mckormicks dried vegetable bits.
*for added flavor squeeze a couple of tomatoes into
final product and/or fresh basil if desired. Yummy!
