One of the most common frustrations I hear from dreamers is that they can't recall their dreams upon awakening. This leads some of them to believe that they don't dream at all. Of course, it's not true. We all dream. But dreaming is the realm of the subconscious mind, and as we awaken, our conscious minds step to the forefront.
I practiced the ability to "linger in the twilight," which allows me to awaken slowly and stay in dream state with both my subconscious and conscious minds aware. It is similar to lucid dreaming except I do not attempt to control the dream on a conscious level so my subconscious mind can still communicate through dream.
