January 2 2007 English Garden Newsletter

Welcome to the first English Garden newsletter of 2007!

May it be an especially good year for you and your Garden!

Make 2007 the year you actually got round to planning and planting an English garden.

Donít forget that you can create a very pleasant/stunning effect with a selection of pots for a small space
If you would like more info on using containers in your English Garden and which plants to put in them for the best effects then check out - English Garden containers which will provide inspiration and facts to help you create a marvellous display.

I get a lot of emails asking about colours in the border, so use the cold weather to stay indoors and plan your beautiful English Garden for this year
- check out these articles; there are plant lists and notes on perennials and annuals in
yellow , pink , white , purple as well as pastel colours.

For more detailed info on English garden plants go to plant list

Remember winter is an excellent time to browse through seed catalogues and plan your beds.
Growing seeds is an excellent way of getting plants cheaply and if all your seeds grow then you can give them away, swap them with friends or even sell them at charity events or car boot sales!

Also looking through catalogues is a good way of getting ideas and finding out what is available and which flowers will do best in your type of soil and climate - Seed catalogues

Let 2007 be the year you create a stunning English Garden or English Garden bed!
