I hope I find you well this week. I want to tell you about a new feature on the site, FMS Protocols. I receive numerous emails requesting fibro friendly doctors in a particular area, and I really can't assist some of you regarding this. So, for those who do not live in areas where there is a fibromyalgia specialist, I have added this subject to the site to inform you of various protocols that you can discuss with your physician. I found that if you have a caring doctor who is interested in doing whatever he or she can to lessen your pain, you should be able to take the protocols of some fibromyagia specialists across the country and work with your physician to see if any would be effective in your case. However, if you have a physician that is NOT interested in your well being and think that you are a "nut case" or is offended that you actually printed something off the internet or brought in a book, FIRE them and find another doctor. You don't have time for that! I went through 3 primary care doctors in a month; I do not play! Now, I have found a wonderful internal medicine doctor that says in a really cute accent, "I don't care if you eat grass on the ground, if it makes you feel better, eat it!" I hope you've found a doc like that, if not, happy hunting.
