Hi everyone,
I know you've probably heard the buzz about Lyrica. I decided not to review the product because some things work differently for others. And Lyrica may be the answer for him/her. So instead, I decided to explore what this breakthrough can mean for us.
I have updated the fibromyagia directory this week. A support group leader from Michigan emailed a listing of several doctors and resources that I have posted for you. I wanted to address a concern about the directory. I got an email from someone complaining about there not being enough doctors listed. Of course, this person sent a blind email, so I couldn't address him/her directly. First of all, I would like to say that I'm one of the few persons that has actually attempted to create a directory for fibro doctors. And secondly, the list is skimpy because I only post doctors that has acutally been helpful to people. I could list doctors all day long that claim to treat fibromyalgia, but if they haven't helped anyone, then I've created a bigger problem for a patient who trusted what I recommended. I'm looking to add doctors to the list that has PROVEN to be helpful to actual patients, that's familiar with the latest developments in FMS, and it would be a bonus to have a decent bedside manner. I will be doing more research on different doctors from some websites that I frequent, and eventually, I will add more doctors. But, I will not compile the problem by listing doctors that do not have a clue. So, to my challenger, I'm sorry that you didn't find a doctor in your area on the directory that I have listed, but at least I attempted to have a directory and someone will benefit from it.
