June 6 2008 Fiction Writing Newsletter

Do you prefer stories that are plot-driven or character-driven? For me it's a bit of both, but there is a lot that you, as a writer, can do with the plot to make your story even better.

Here's this week's article:

Does your story have a plot?

It is not always necessary for a story to have a plot in order for it to be well received, but it is not advisable to do away with plot unless you are an experienced writer and you are aware of what you are doing and how you are manipulating a story without a plot.
