October 18 2008 Formula One Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another F1 newsletter, catching up with the news from the last few weeks, and a recap of some recent articles on the BellaOnline site.
In the news:

The French Grand Prix has pulled out of the 2009 calendar amid the growing economic crisis. Organisers FFSA have announced they can’t afford to host the race as it will make a loss and they want to take a step back from F1 until they can find a suitable long term funding programme.

Fernando Alonso has said he will back Felipe Massa for the title and if he gets the chance to help him out on track, then he will do so. It’s unusual for a driver from another team to admit that he will help his rivals, but it’s not a surprise from the Spaniard.

The penultimate race gets underway this weekend in China, and with three drivers still in with a mathematical chance of the drivers title, it should be a fantastic race.
