A special article this week as it is the 300th Anniversary of Frederick the Great's birthday on 24th January, and in Germany there are celebrations thoughout the year in honor of one of the country's favorite sons.


FREDERICK THE GREAT

Frederick II of Prussia is one of the most famous German Rulers, both for his military successes as a brilliant strategist and general, and for the ground breaking domestic reforms he introduced into his country. It would be going too far to say he believed in equality, however there were many ways in which he improved the lives of his subjects. Not something that happened very often in those days.
