German Fact-of-the-Week
There are eight bridges that cross the Rhine at Cologne. One of these is the Hohenzollern Bridge (Hohenzollernbrücke). This bridge is said to be the busiest train bridge in Germany, with some saying it is the busiest train bridge in the world. Retreating Germans destroyed the bridge during WWII. Since being rebuilt after the war, it is only used for trains (six tracks) and pedestrians. Take a walk across, you won't regret it!
