May 3 2012 German Culture NewsletterIt is approaching 'One of Those Anniversaries' again, the ending of the WWII, at least in Europe, and the latest article is a review of a newly published book: HITLERLAND - American Eyewitnesses to the Nazi Rise to Power, which is by a former Newsweek staffer Andrew Nagorski, and gives an insight on 'interwar' life in Germany, from the view point of American journalists, diplomats and socialites who lived there. Many of whom were initially impressed when the Nazis took over.
