Dear Greek Food Reader,

My name is Katherine and I am your new editor at the Greek food site at Bellaonline.com. Though my married name is German (Huether) I am a Greek American. Both sides of my family have come from various places throughout Greece and Asia minor.

Most of my recipes were either handed down through the generations or I adapted them by using old recipes from other families. Although I enjoy eating food from all different cuisines, Greek food is my comfort food. There is nothing like my mom's Avgolemano Soup when I am feeling sick, or a breakfast of creamy Greek yogurt, walnuts, and honey when I need something comforting.
