January 30 2008 Hiking & Backpacking Newsletter

Greetings,

Winter's here -- with a vengeance. It takes us almost longer to get bundled up to head out for our after dinner walk than it does to complete the route! Wind chills have brought temperatures down to minus 46 Celcius. At that point I don't think there's much difference between Celcius and Fahrenheit! Still we're not letting the weather keep us indoors -- and that's the topic of the latest article from the Hiking & Backpacking site at BellaOnline.com.

Winter Hiking
Don't let ice and snow slow you down. Embrace Old Man Winter and add a little traction, floatation and/or glide for your winter hikes!
