I am currently reading about insurance companies denial of care after the death of the 17 year old girl here in California this past week due to CIGNA not granting the transplant she needed. This is very scarey and to think it could happen here in the United States. I live fairly close to Glendale, California where the California Nurses Association went to the CIGNA offices to demonstrate.

I don't understand how families come to this country for surgeries that are free to them and then someone is denied treament and told they need a credit card with a set amount before they can do the surgery to save a life. Feel free to share any information you have on this and it might be included in a future article with resources as well.
