FINANCIAL MARKETS HIGHLIGHTS for the WEEK ENDED SEPTEMBER 26,2008

Most financial markets just treaded water this week as they awaited details of the federal government bailout plan for financial companies.
One lowlight of the week was the biggest US financial institution ever going bust - WAMU or Washington Mutual. Luckily, the FDIC was able to arrange for JP Morgan Chase to take over the assets.
Next on the list may be Wachovia Bank and National City Bank.
