The Mayor of Memphis hires non-librarians to be the new director and deputy director of the Memphis Public Library system.

"Michael Gray returns to city government as the deputy director of Memphis Public Library and Information System. Gray is a former deputy director in Public Services and Neighborhoods and another mayoral bodyguard. He'll make $103,417.60. He made $100,897.67 when he retired from city government a couple years ago.
