New research shows that psychosocial and rapport building is lacking between physicians and black patients with hypertension. How can we as nurses improve these outcomes?
News this week that may affect your practice:
- The California Nurses Association and the National Nurses Organization Committee held their biennial convention on the 8th, to be followed today by a gathering at Sen. Diane Feinstein's home to encourage her to support the Employee Free Choice Act.
- The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and Lexington Insurance Co. have created an insurance plan for home birth coverage in all 50 states. All CNMs insured by Lexington will need to re-apply to be eligible for the new plan. Congratulations to the CNMs on this historic step forward!
