Career Tip of the Week:
During your next interview, remember that you have the power to choose, too! Interviews can be scary since there is so much potential for rejection. But, you should be "interviewing" the company, too. So, make sure that you have a few questions in mind to help you assess whether or not this is the right opportunity for you. For example, if career growth is really important to you, consider asking the hiring manager about how he or she sees your job developing and evolving in the near future. Or, if you are really looking for a "mentor" figure, consider asking about your supervisor's professional background to see if it would be complementary to your own. Regardless of your career goals, it is smart to have some questions thought out ahead of time. Two or three specific questions should suffice, and keep your tone professional and courteous at all times. Good luck!
