February 23 2009 Quotations Newsletter

Howdy Devoted BellaOnline Readers! This is my first Official Newsletter as the new Quotations Editor here at BellaOnline.

So, it's Knock-Knock Monday .... Are you ready?

1. Knock Knock!

Who's there?

Zeke.

Zeke who?

Zeke and you shall find ...

And the high-larity continues ...

2. Knock Knock!

Who's there?

C's.

C's who?

C's the day!

Okay now - last one, I promise ...

3. Knock Knock!

Who's there?

Isaiah.

Isaiah who?

Isaiah nothing-ah till you open-ah tha door-ah. (get it? it's a stereotyped Italian accent)

Okay I'll stop. For now.

But every Monday is Knock-Knock Monday at the Quotations Page on BellaOnline.

Now that you're done laughing (and/or cringing) here's what's been up ...

Here's the latest article from last week on the Quotations site:

"A Very Important Part of Your Life" - Your assignment this week, if you choose to accept it, Special Agent Devoted BellaOnline Reader, is to go out there and have some fun already!

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art19932.asp

"Life is what happens to you while youíre busy making other plans," John Lennon said. And the past few weeks this has been so true in my life.

I wrote this article because lately I haven't been having a lot of fun - and the quote by Brook Shields just cracked me up. She said it back in the 1980s when she was a teen-aged model doing an anti-smoking ad.

But for as fun as the quote was - it struck me about what we consider important in life. For me, there are a lot of very important things I have to do every day. None of them are very fun it seems.

Between finishing my graduate degree, raising my son, tending to my mum, and working and writing AGH! Somewhere I fell off the list I tell you. I'm sure you know the feeling too.

But I've put myself back on the Things To Do List -- and I have resolved to have more fun this year. Whether it's a big trip for a week-long vacay or just a quiet evening at home with a good book and a bottle of fine wine, having fun is good for your soul!

So the discussion topic this week is "What's Fun For You?"

Come on by and tell us what you do for fun and how it helps you get along in your busy life.

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback and I really do love to hear about other's lives!

Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge and oh my -- we all LOVE to share quotes!

Take care Dear Reader - drop me a line at the forum and have yourself a good week -- and can you believe February is almost over already?! Where was I?!

With kindest regards to you -- and until next Knock-Knock Monday,

Paula Grant-LeClaire, Quotations Editor http://quotations.bellaonline.com

And here's a few cool quotes to get you through the work week:

MONDAY:

"Most people are so busy knocking themselves out trying to do everything they think they should do, they never get around to do what they want to do." ~ Kathleen Winsor

TUESDAY:

"I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then, my life was so great I literally wanted a second one. Absolutely everything was the same, except I could fly." ~ Dwight Schrute [The Office]

WEDNESDAY:

"Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance? ~ Edgar Bergen

THURSDAY:

"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." ~ Robert McCloskey

FRIDAY:

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. ~ Henry Ford

See you next week!
