November 6 2009 Rugmaking Newsletter

Winterís coming! The yard work is done, the children are back to school and summer vacation is over. This is the time of year I like to start new projects.

This fall, I'm working on the Fair Isle Rug pattern called Kiki Mariko. I found the pattern in the book "Mason-Dixon Knitting - Outside the Lines". This is my first project knitting with circular needles. After several hours of knitting, I realized that I had twisted the stitches and had to start over. My latest article is about knitting with circular needles Ė things Iíve learned (some of them the hard way) while working on my latest project...

Knitting with Circular Needles
Instructions for straightening the cord that runs between the needles, using markers, avoiding twisted stitches and tips for keeping your project moving.
