May 14 2007 Senior Living Newsletter

Greetings!

What a beautiful weekend for Mother's Day. I hope yours was delightful. My husband got called out to work a double shift. But my children made up the loss by making dinner for me, complete with a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. It was a wonderful day. I even had a few minutes to myself to finish reading the first story in a double volumn written by Nora Roberts, Dream Makers.

I have to decide...if this one book is two novellas, does that mean I can write TWO titles down on my reading list for 2007? (Let me explain my reading list. Several years ago I learned that one of my daughters was keeping a list of all the books she read in a year. I thought how cool that was so I started to do the same thing. I had NEVER thought of doing something like that, EVER.) I think I'll make it two entries but list the title for both. Yeah, that works.

When I have been at the message boards--and I'm trying to get there more often, really I am--readers have said they'd like to see the senior living site livened up. Well, I've taken a step in that direction, I think. I've added a new subject (and taken away an old one) and I've titled this new one "Cathy's Corner." It just seemed like the right thing to do. You can read the first entry here:

Feisty
Are you ready for the final countdown? I´m just getting started! Feisty. That´s this week´s Word to Wrangle at Cathy´s Corner where I get to speak my peace.

And how about that Word to Wrangle idea? Maybe some vocabulary enhancement is forthcoming. Come on a long and learn with me. And don't be shy! Jump right in and share some of YOUR ideas for senior living at Bella Online.

Did anyone try the Dried Cherry Scones recipe I shared with you a few weeks ago?
