The holidays are over and we're looking forward to a new tennis year. Now is the time to think about working off those extra pounds, tuning up your racquet, and getting ready for mixed league. It also means the winter layoff is over and we are soon to have tennis on TV again, starting with the first Grand Slam tournament in Australia later this month.
Surviving Winter Tennis
You want to get out there and work on your game, or compete in a tournament, but Mother Nature says otherwise. Here are some tips to deal with winter tennis, and how to survive until the sun comes out again.
Tennis Resolutions for the New Year
Every year we look back at what we’ve achieved and look ahead to what can be accomplished, whether it’s changing jobs or saving money or working on your backhand.
- World No. 4 Andy Murray shows he's a contender as he knocks off both Rafa and Roger in the same week
- Lindsay Davenport may be out for good as she is pregnant with a new brother or sister for little Jagger
- Mary Pierce (who?) announces that she is still planning a comeback at age 34
- Jelena Dokic is back with a wild-card at the Australian Open
