About Mused - the BellaOnline Literary Review

Mused - the BellaOnline Literary Review was begun in 2007 as a way for BellaOnline to continue in its mission to help writers of all ages, backgrounds and interests to reach a larger audience. Our BellaOnline website is a training ground and educational system designed to help over 400 writers at a time learn these skills. This was a wonderful beginning for us, but we wanted to reach more people. There have always been many applicants for each open editor position at BellaOnline, and we've had to turn away writers with wonderful ideas and interesting stories. Mused - the BellaOnline Literary Review allows us to promote a wider audience of writers, and also to help writers who are not interested in writing on a weekly schedule.

BellaOnline as a site exists to help support charities and to help train - for free - our editors in how to become successful web writers. In the same vein, we run Mused as a charity project to help support up-and-coming artists, writers, poets, and photographers. Our Mused team members are not paid - they all volunteer their time to this project. We do not run any ads anywhere in Mused - either in the print version or in the online version. We do not charge anything for the print copy - the price you see is the bare-bones price the printer charges to create the issue. We are glad that you are visiting here to help support our efforts in bringing the creations of our submitters to the wider world!

Mused is registered with the US Library of Congress:
