Lady Butterfly by Joann Vitali

Poetry

Almost Autumn

Wayne Scheer

Summer in Atlanta
Is like a dinner guest
Who stays to tell
One more story,
Drink one more
Glass of wine.

Food was good
Conversation flowed
But itīs time to
Say good night,
Time to clean the table
Wash the dishes
Wrap up the extra food.

I want to take off my clothes
Put my feet up
Check the ball scores
Watch some TV
But Summer just wonīt
Take a hint.
