Nude
Matt Esteves Hemmerich
outside the coral cathedral,
a stain-glass coffin
braced in rubber straps
bears that face—
a translucent peel of skin
no casual grieving, lips on repeat
just a nude horizon of seats
to welcome your dusk
lowered to the earth
offered to the eraser
violet eyes kissed shut now
the archaic prayer and morning bell chime away
