We Were Where We Were

Rian Torr

Hold fast for nothing is new
Some just cast a shadow or two
But nothing ever passes unensued
As all become forever renewed

Low roll the dice all along
Slowly unfolding life’s long song
Some never see how history repeats
For it always seems so revealing …

But we were ... Where we were ...
Where we were ....
For where there´s fire ...
There´s sure to be burns ...
And we change ... Just to remain ...
Living by the same old reigns ...
More at home with the rain ...
Where we were ... We were ...
Where we were ...
We were ... Where we were
Where we were ...

No we´ll never change our ways
We’re too lost in our grains
At a loss for words to explain
Why we always end up the same …

So we stumble on into these days
We never fail to fumble with Fate
New or old ever we wake up erased
For Dawn keeps forever reframing ...
