Sunset over snow capped hills
Trails of white on forest green
Flat icy river,
Birds circling over for their catch
Stillness,
Before the dawn
Footprints on the ice,
Otter, heron, geese
Waiting for Spring
Stalks of brown
Reaching for sunlight,
Clouds mingling with the blue
The sound of Spring, still
Not here
