Murray Dunlap

The screech of tires will haunt me.
Traumatic Brain Injury. My new badge
Something terrifying
Something hideous
Something blue.
My car, of course, was new.
A fraction of misdirection
and a touch of wandering eye
And now I cannot walk,
I cannot cry
No more sleep, due to the brain.
All in all,
A very hard rain.
So I sit and reflect on my better days
Better life.
Back when I was married
And loved my wife.
And so to begin,
I hit the reset button.
Oh well,
Broken glass.
