Has the Public Been Duped by Artists ?
Simply put, have artists such as Duchamp or Rauschenberg duped or misled the public into believing what they produced was true art?
I’ll discuss my thoughts on this important issue.
Goya & Wyeth Exhibit at MFA Boston
A Goya exhibit at the MFA Boston highlights paintings, drawings, and prints by the 19th c Spaniard. Also, American realist artist Jamie Wyeth exhibits some of his finest works. I’ll discuss my impressions from my visit.
Science Reveals Mystery of Michelangelo

McQueen & Schiaparelli Design Inspired by Art

Magna Carta Travels from UK Castle to MFA Boston
The Magna Carta, a significant document in the history of Britain & US becomes the center of an art exhibition in Boston. I’ll discuss its importance as well as art of the 18th century.
Art of Vermeer Cherished Museum Exhibitions
Johannes Vermeer is probably one of the most venerated artists of all time. As 36 paintings are known to exist, I’ll discuss my impressions of the Vermeer exhibit in 1995-96, a contemporary artist influenced by the Dutch Master, and which of his paintings will never again be on tour.
Art Signed Posthumously – Rodin & Lennon
A debate has raged for years as to whether signed reproductions by Rodin & more recently John Lennon should be called 'originals'. I’ll discuss the pros and cons of this controversy.
Realism in Art Caravaggio & Gentileschi
Caravaggio, the more familiar artist, preceded Artemisia Gentileschi, and influenced her expressions in art. I’ll discuss similar works by these post Renaissance artists.
Gustav Klimt – His Golden Phase in Art
In the 20th century, artist Gustav Klimt would be inspired by: Italian mosaics, Byzantine art, and Sigmund Freud. I will discuss his paintings of Adele Bloch-Bauer and others.
Cover of 2001 New Yorker - Cartoons of Art
The cover of the New Yorker magazine issued May 21, 2001 shows caricatures of some of the Met Museum’s most famous works of art. I'll discuss the cast of characters and how you can download images of some of your favorites (legally).
