The beer is very light in color - and also very light in flavor. It has a nice hint of bitter to it - nothing very strong. Some people may of course find this to be perfect. Other people might find this to be too mild for their tastes. I had this with a grilled salmon dish - and the lightness went very well. It's just like with any other drink, you match the weight of the drink to what you are eating.
I have only found this at a specialty beer pub near me - one that has literally hundreds of beers for sale. This might mean that Bootie Beer is nearly impossible for you to find at your local store.

The Boootie Beer website claims you can get the beer at places like 7-11. You might want to scout around your area and see what you can find. If you can't find it, ask at your local wine store, and see if they can bring some in!
UPDATE: Sadly, apparently Bootie Beer was a short-lived phenomenon. In April 2007 there were already reports that the company was having financial difficulties and was no longer brewing beer. I don't see any news about Bootie Beer past April 2007.
